35 Weeks & Update

How far along? 35 weeks :o)
Total weight gain/loss: Up 2 so 13 total
Maternity clothes? All maternity all the time
Stretch marks? Yes and gross.
Sleep: Sleep stinks, but I found out that the couch is my friend. I sleep much better there.
Best moment this week: I love seeing him move and make waves in my belly.
Movement: All the time and I love it (see above)
Food cravings: I eat everything now. I think he dropped so I have a lot more room :o)
Gender: Still a little boy :o)
Labor Signs: UGH unfortunately. We had a scare last Monday. I'll talk about it more in my update.
What I miss: Sleeping like a normal human being
What I am looking forward to: Check up on Friday to make sure everything is ok.

So last Monday I had my normal check up and I had a growth U/S done, I mentioned that I wasn't feeling him as much as normal so my ob/gyn decided that since I was already going to the peri I should be hooked up to the monitoring belts. Well the u/s went great, little man was weighing in at 5.05 lbs (yay!!!) but when I got hooked up to the monitoring belts the nurse came in and then called the Peri in. I knew something was wrong when they were both looking at my print outs. I was contracting every 3-5 minutes on the dot and was immediately sent to the hospital to L&D. I got right in and was hooked up to all the belts and I had an IV put in. I was apparently dehydrated so I got two bags of fluids pumped into me, along with a shot to calm the contractions down. I got sent home on modified bed rest. I went for another check up on Friday and I was put on a stricter bed rest for at least 10 days. The good news it that I'm not dilated, the bad news is that with all these contractions I can go into labor at any time and start dilating. If this happens little man is gonna be taken out since he is still breech.

SOOOO.... as of today I have to keep him inside for at least another 7 days. If I can make it to 36 weeks my Dr is confident that he would not need to spend any time in the NICU. I go for another check up on Friday to see if I made any progress and to check to make sure things are still good.

In other news Mr. H started his new job training. He really likes it and I'm so proud of him :o)

  3. What a scare! I'm so glad it resolved the way it did, but sorry you had to go through the trauma of being in L&D too soon. At least your dr's are prepared. Whatever happens now, you and your baby will be in good hands.
